Sustainable Fabric Store

Sustainable Fabric Store

Next to the Sewing Cafe and workshops/courses we’re hosting, we also have a fabric store in our venue in Amsterdam. We specialize in organic fabrics. We try to be plastic free and vegan where possible. Next to the fabrics, we are also selling sewing supplies, sewing patterns and kits (sewing and embroidery).

If you’re not able to visit our location, it’s also possible to order products from our store in our webshop. A selection of fabrics, patterns and sewing supplies is also sold there.

Fabrics
We specialize in organic fabrics, but sometimes we also sell surplus materials that we got from companies and labels (fabrics that have no use anymore). We’re always searching for the most sustainable options and alternatives. Type of fabrics we are selling at the moment: organic cotton, hemp, linen, natural dyed denim, natural dyed wool, British oilskin and Tencel.

Sewing Supplies
With the sewing supplies we try to find plastic-free options (and if possible not packaged in plastic as well). We are selling for example cotton elastics, wooden buttons, hemp and organic cotton ribbons, cotton interfacing and surplus zippers. The sewing supplies we are selling plastic free are for example pins, needles, small golden scissors and chalk. Also visit our store for sustainable lingerie supplies like lace and hooks/rings.

Sewing Patterns
At the moment we are selling sewing patterns from a few brands in our store: Ikatee (kids patterns), Named (women patterns), Merchant & Mills (Women, Men & Kids) and Lisa Konno. And we are now also selling our own sewing patterns by De Steek.

Kits
We are selling a few ready to use kits in our store. We have beginners-kits, like our tote-bag-kit and leggings-kit. We also sell kits with all the supplies you need to make your own lingerie-set or briefs.
