Express your creativity and personalize your own fabric!

Among our workshops, there is now the Workshop: Painting on Fabric, which takes place on March 15 and is guided by Alice Tsibulsky.

Join this 2-hours painting on fabric workshop and create your unique fabric.

You will learn to prepare and paint fabric using earth pigments* such as ochre, sienna, and umber. You can use this technique to create your own surface patterns on clothing or linen by freehand, or play with stamps and stencils to paint specific designs.

This workshop is adapted for beginners.

All supplies are included in this hands-on class: white fabrics, pigments,…

About Alice
Alice Tsibulsky is a textile artist with a background in cultural and environmental anthropology. She completed a Fibre Arts certificate course in Canada and has worked at a sewing studio in Toronto for several years. She likes making all different things, but lately her focus has been on (hand) quilting and natural dyeing as means of slowing down and enjoying the process of her craft. Alice is hosting workshops and courses with these two techniques at De Steek. Check Alice’s Instagram here for more inspiration.

*Earth pigments are naturally occurring minerals that can be used on textiles, but work differently than natural dyes.
