Embroidery is considered a feminine art. It has been practiced almost exclusively by women over most of its existence. In this workshop, we reclaim this art as ours, and create a safe space to share experiences as a woman in modern society, while we connect with the center of our female power through embroidery.
Together with embroidery artist Mariana Kamimura you will create the artwork you see on the pictures, a design created by Mariana herself. Materials and tools are included in the workshop. After the workshop you can also take the materials and tools home to continue embroidering at home (needle, hoop, thread) Experience with embroidery is welcome, but not necessary.
