Design and make your own trousers in this 3-day Summer Course! This means you will not only assemble the piece, but you will also create your own pattern in your own design. We will start with a basic pattern in your own size and we will make alterations to the pattern to turn it into the pants of your wishes. For example, add pleats, pockets, closure and change the shape of the leg (flared, straight, narrow). Learn the basics of pattern alterations and sewing techniques that fit your pants. Professional pattern maker & fashion designer Ayla van Maarschalkerweerd will be your teacher.
Day 1: creation of your pattern and cutting the fabric
Day 2: overlocking, pockets and fly
Day 3: assembling your trousers and waistband
In the first lesson you will get a basic pattern in your own size, which you can use to create your own pattern. You can also take this basic pattern home, so in the future it is also possible to create different styles of pants with this basic pattern. Materials (fabrics, interfacing, buttons, zippers) are not included in the course, so you can also choose your own style. All three days a vegan lunch is included.
