New workshop! We developed a nice beginner knitting workshop, to give you the opportunity to learn the basics of knitting while creating a first item, in this case a pot plant cover. It’s a nice workshop to follow if you never knitted before but would like to see if it’s something for you. The pot plant cover is a good project as a start. This workshop is also a nice upcycling workshop. The idea is that you also create your own yarn, using an old T-shirt or old cloth in the color of choice. The only thing you have to do is bring your own pot and your own old T-shirt (or other stretchy/jersey fabric) and we will help you with the rest! This workshop is taught by knitting expert Petra Krijger.
What you will learn:
> Creating your own yarn from an old T-shirt
> Basic Knitting stitches
> how to end and start your work
> how to create a seam
What’s included:
> Yarn or T-shirt (if you don’t have any yourself)
> Knitting Needles Size 10 (which you can take home afterwards)
> Professional guidance by Petra Krijger
> Coffee, tea and/or cookies during class
